Overview
Definition A magnetic filter is a magnet-based filter that protects combis by being placed into the dirt trap after removing the blank plug and filter of the existing dirt traps in the hot water return lines of hot water appliances such as combis. It traps sand, silt, soil and sediment in the water with its wire mesh filter, and heavy metals in the water around the magnet housing sleeve under the influence of the magnetic field created by its magnet.
Functions The magnetic filter has two separate functions: trapping dirt and trapping heavy metals. The wire filter traps dirt in the water, preventing it from reaching the combi. Thanks to the magnetic field created by the magnet in the filter, heavy metals in the water accumulate on the removable sleeve over the magnet housing.
